First Post of 2018!

man, y'all, it is 2018! can you believe it? we made it! 2017 was just an awesome year for me and barry. there were a few things that we're let downers but those people things are insignificant. and for me? the good always outweighs the bad. i am SO looking forward to seeing what 2018 has in store for barry and i. we have something super exciting that will happen at the end of february, and i'll share more on that soon. promise. i have been away/off work for ten days. that's right, TEN! and it was the best 10 days, too. lots of fun stuff happened, but unfortunately, i am not going to share that with y'all today. i know, i know, 'thanks for building it up, right.' but i am only here at work today for three hours and that is not nearly enough time to update you on those 10 days. and, man, it is weird being back at work after being gone for so long. i totally didn't wanna come back, either. but alas, i am here and am going to chat about resolutions. i mean, it wouldn't be a new year if we didn't all at least make one new year's resolutions. maybe you're not a resolution-kinda-person, but i'm sure there's something you want to happen/get done/finish, etc. etc. etc. for me, there's definitely is! i at least try to make one or more resolution every year. and i'm actually pretty good at following through on them if [big if here] they're not too crazy, ya know? so yes, just like almost every other blogger out there, i will be sharing my resolutions today. last year's resolution? to read 100 books, annnnd...I ACCOMPLISHED THAT! by reading 107 books TOTAL. it was the first time, EVER for me to read that many books in one year. but, anyway, without further ado..here are my resolutions.

MY 2018 NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS:

{one}
get back into riding my bike. it's been a long time since i've ridden my bicycle. like, too long. and i would like to get back on it, and ride regularly, again. when i used to ride my bike, i LOVED riding along trails, it was just so much fun. well, now, barry has found him a bicycle and i think it would be just so much fun to start riding some trails together.

try to lose some weight. keynote: try. this is probably on a LOT of folks resolutions lists. i need to get back into drinking water again. like, desperately. i been drinking cokes a lot here lately which is unusually for me. and yea, if i could squeeze in 30 minutes of exercise every day that would definitely help. a lot.

{three}
go on outdoor adventures with barry. i am not a huge outdoorsy person. but that doesn't mean i hate being outdoors. barry loves doing things outside. and he's always wanting for us to go hiking, fourwheeling, camping or even to go down to my family's deer camp. so, i want to do that this year. as soon as we pay barry's truck off, our plan is to get a side by side, and i will say riding those has always been a blast. therefore, i am going to do everything i can to try and get his truck paid off asap so we can make that dream possible.

{four}
start exploring again. barry and i used to go exploring all the time. we have found some really neat things while out exploring old barns or abandoned buildings. but we stopped going. i want i to start that back up again. some of my fondest memories are of us exploring different places in our own cities.

{five}
be more productive on my days off. i gotta admit, on some of my days off i want nothing more than just to sleep all day. but then later, i hate that i didn't get anything done on my to-do list. so, i made a cleaning list, and on my week-days-off i wanna work on that list. so far, i've been doing really good. i deep cleaned our bedroom, [like dust-boards and everything] and bathroom and it's just such a wonderful feeling. so i am going to keep at it. in all reality, i enjoy cleaning. to me, there's just something peaceful about it. i would like nothing more than to be a "housewife" full time. maybe, someday.....

{six}
read 100 books. again. well, i know i can do this one. i already got a stockpile of books waiting for me to get started; after i finish reading the harry potter series again. [i'm on book 5 now]

--now the last two, which to me, are the two most important--

{seven}
(sell our house) find our dream home in the country. we have the locations picked out where we would like to buy, but need to sell our house first. then of course, find the house and land where we will live for the rest of our lives. we are both tired of moving, and plan to make our next house, the last one. if we could find one like the picture above, that would be ahhhmazing!

{eight}
build our dream workshop. for the both of us. this is something we both want just so, so, so, so baaaaad! we could do SO MUCH if we just had the space to do it in. we talk more about our "dream workshop" than we do a dream house. a big workshop for spaces for the both of us could literally be life changing for me and for barry. one day, yes, one day.

and that's my list! obviously, the last two are the most important to us. we plan to put our house up for sale in the spring and will start looking for a new house around that time as well. we can't look now or we'll get our hopes up. anyway, what's on your resolution's list? i'm running outta time here today. i'll be back friday to update you on those 10 GLORIOUS days away from work.
"sit. listen to me, potter. you pal, diggory? by your age, he could turn a whistle into a watch and have it sing you the time. miss delacour? she's as much a fairy princess as i am. as for krum, his head may be filled with sawdust but karkaroff's is not. they'll have a strategy. and you can bet that it will play to krum's strengths. hm? come on, potter. what are your strengths?"
